Since Ronda Rousey burst on the the MMA scene and won the Strikeforce Women’s Championship Belt judo has taken a turn for the better. There have been several popular mixed martial artists who have trained Judo before and taken into the cage, but none so dominant as Rousey. She is an Olympic medalist in the sport and has defeated every opponent quite handily using her superior Judo skills to toss each female to the ground and submit them via arm bar.

Kickboxing and MMA Stance

Boxing stance tends to have lead leg forward and rear leg behind with a narrow stance shoulder width or less. Your lead shoulder and rear shoulder should be inline that is your medial deltoids of the lead shoulder is facing your opponent. This makes sprawling harder.

The differences between the stances of various combat sports is staggering. Here are a few difference amount Kickboxing, MMA, and Boxing. This doesn’t include wrestling which is quite different than these. Continue Reading
