When you are new to the sport of mixed martial arts it is easy to get sucked into wanting to learn the latest flashiest moves and techniques that you saw in the UFC fight last night. However, you must take it upon yourself to master the basics so you have a strong foundation from which to build upon. Boxing stance tends to have lead leg forward and rear leg behind with a narrow stance shoulder width or less. Your lead shoulder and rear shoulder
should be inline that is your medial deltoids of the lead shoulder is facing your opponent. This makes sprawling harder.
