In picking a list of the deadliest martial arts we realize this is an enormously opinion ridden endeavor. One person may think that an art is deadly while another person may think that same art is ‘fluff’. So, we have had many debates over this topic and have come up with the following list.

Sambo

With it’s origins coming from Russia Federation in 1938, this martial arts is known for it’s grappling. The Sambo and Judo arts are highly related along with other Eastern European styles of wrestling. One of the unique aspects of Sambo is that they don’t have a belt ranking system like most other arts. The students of Sambo are given ratings like the “Master of Sports” and “International of Sports”. A special technique of Sambo called Combat Sambo is extensively used by military and Special Forces worldwide to neutralize enemies in a close combat situation. With its strong grappling techniques, Sambo practitioners can take-down opponents and maim a part of their body with a lock in a matter of mere seconds.

Muay Thai

One of the very well known forms of martial arts with the popularity of MMA. Muay Thai is the national sport and is called the “Art of Eight Limbs”. Muay is a good blend of kickboxing, boxing, and elbow striking when the opponent is in close proximity. The clinch, is a hold where the head of the opponent is held while they are getting knee’d directly into the ribs. This is an extremely effective move and has ended many MMA fights.

Krav Maga

Krav Maga was developed in Czechoslovakia in the 1930s by Imi Lichtenfeld. This strong defensive art is known as Imi Sde-Or (Sde-Or-”Light Field”-a calque of his surname into Hebrew). The term ‘Krav Maga’ literally means “hand to hand combat” and was developed in the streets of Israel, Krav Maga has quickly become one of the quickest growing arts in the world. Different militaries utilize the lethal movements of Krav Maga around the world even the Special Forces like Israel’s Mossad, FBI and the British SAS.

Ninjitsu

The way of the ninja has been handed down for centuries and isn’t only known for it’s lethal abilities but also it’s stealth. Ninjitsu was practiced by shinobis in ancient Japan, Ninjitsu is considered one of the most unconventional martial arts techniques around the world today. Ninjitsu practitioners in ancient Japan were assassins and spies; hence their methods were based on stealth and taking out an opponent when he does not see it coming. Ninjitsu practitioners are taught various skills and weaponry and are considered guerilla masters of the samurai sword.

So, there you have it the list of the four most deadliest martial arts around the globe. Now there is bound to be readers out there that disagree with our placement of these arts and feel like we have left some of the deadliest martial arts entirely off the list. I like ninjutsu and krave maga and Muay Thai is badass but I would not pick muay thai or sambo muay thai look like alot of other martial art in asia and has no real grappling move and sambo has alots of it.But the miliary sambo is better then the sports or the self-defense kinds but it has a lot of wasted movement in it. I like the philosophy of jeet kune do style without style and jujutsu is in everything now its the base of alot of martial arts system no judo.Other style ID have is Silat, mcmap, lua, savate, kenjutsu for selfdefense not sports
